Dear RNA Ontology Consortium members,
We have arranged the fourth Annual RNA Consortium Meeting for July 27 and 28, 2008 in Berlin, Germany. The meeting will be held at the Steigenberger Hotel in the Rankesalon. Please try to arrive in Berlin on Saturday July 26, since the meeting will start on Sunday July 27 at 9:00 am. We have reserved 25 rooms (15 single and 10 double) for the ROC meeting. When making reservations at the hotel, please be sure to inform them that you will be participating at the RNA Ontology Consortium Meeting.
It has come to my attention that when booking the hotel room, you do not want to use the booking hotline on the Steigenberger Hotel website. Instead you should call the number listed below and inform them that you are with the RNA Ontology Consortium (ROC) and you should let them know of the booking code: "ROC0708". To make a reservation, please call the Steigenberger Hotel by telephone: (011 49) 30 − 212 77 02/03 or fax: (011 49) 30 − 212 77 99. You can call up the rooms until 26th June 2008.
Travel funds for US-based scientists are available. Please let us know how many plan to attend from your lab. Until we have an idea how many plan to attend, we would like to ask you to to limit requests to 1 PI and 2 trainees per lab, but we can be flexible for particularly active labs with many trainee presentors. ROC can cover flights and accomodations during the ROC meeting. Again -- NSF regulations allow us only to cover travel for US-based scientists.
